Shopping for the MOB: Part Two | Weddingbee
About Me: I’m an Arizona-born girl who has spent the majority of my life living below the Mason-Dixon line. The South has definitely earned a special place in my heart (alongside my Virginia born and bred fiance, of course!). We are planning a traditional Christian ceremony at my alma mater in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, followed by a rocking reception filled with Southern cooking and vintage/shabby chic details. When we’re not wedding planning, we enjoy spending time with our three dogs, going for runs together, watching plenty of football (or baseball depending on the season), and sampling new wine. Hmm - I think your Momma is too darn hot to be all covered up in that bolero! I loved the purple one with the embellished neckline. Or maybe that gold sheath could be kicked up a few notches with a see-through sequined or sparkly shrug or scarf? My mom is also still too young looking for the traditional MOB garb. She ended up ordering a bridesmaids dress from LightInTheBox.com. She said she didn’t care what color, but didn’t want to feel “matronly”. @ Miss Petit Four : Aww. Thank you for the sweet compliment. @alicia1745: Yay! I’m glad you like it. We were so conflicted near the end we weren’t sure what we liked and didn’t like anymore. @mandypop: Haha, thank you! I’m sure she’d be super-flattered. Thank you for the suggestions. I hadn’t thought about changing the bolero for something else more fitting. @bridesmomma: Me too! It was definitely a gorgeous dress.
