The American flag and political correctness
Olive Garden was the victim, in my opinion, the wave of political correctness that seems to be so popular. Trying not to offend anyone, we gave up our commitment to stand up for what we believe. I am convinced that political correctness is a mortal enemy of our country. Charlton Heston, he expressed succinctly when he says: "Political correctness is nothing but tyranny wrapped in politeness." The American flag is not just another flag or banner to be fused with d others may want to show someone at a rally. This is the national standard for the greatest nation in the world has ever known. It flies over our capital and public buildings, and was defended by brave men and women of their blood and their lives. It covers the coffins of those who give their lives to defend freedom. It is a great symbol of a great country once respected around the world. At the heart of the matter is a much more important than the question of the presence of the flag. We become a nation that seems to be afraid to be who we are. We are Americans! Be proud of this new and apologize to anyone to be proud. If we continue along the path that so many seem to want us to follow, trying to be all things to all people, we will end up as a country that is not much of anything to anybody.Displaying The Us Flag - News

The Korean People's Army supplements material deficiencies by displaying its readiness to engage in combat at any moment. The adoption of provocation-based defense appears to emerge with the conclusion of inter-Korean dialogues in the early 1970s when

The US Supreme Court this week refused to consider the case of a former Anderson County High School student who insisted a ban on the display of the Confederate flag violated his constitutional right to free speech.
The Union Republicans' flag initiative
It was amended four times, most recently in 1954 under President Dwight Eisenhower. Despite its regularity emerging in the last half century, it is time to take the oath of allegiance once again to honor our nation and reflect on the meaning of the symbol and what it represents.
At a time when some are fighting for the right to burn the flag, the Union College Republicans stand in the spotlight. In the coming weeks we will be contacting all teacher and administrator, with the faculty and staff, offering them an American flag. All we ask is that they proudly display on their office doors at the end of the term, through the years or never.
The point is to remember our history and to honor what has been a symbol of freedom for millions over the past 235 years. The simple act of patriotism, we can do is to display, and then honor the symbol of the precious freedoms we enjoy.
Patriotism is not a partisan issue, and the College Republicans do not seem to make one. Just as we did during the 9 / 11 Never Forget Memorial earlier this year, we aim to bring together a community through a shared love of the country.
As President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, said about the flag "The flag of the United States was not created by rhetorical sentences in declarations of independence and in bills of rights. It was created by the experience of a great people, and nothing is written about her that was not written by their lives."
I think I can put my feelings more simply: I find this celebration of our Americanness much more credible if it is not from a political organization that was broadcast to the nation the idea that brave Americans have the right real Opposition Democrats traitors.
To take just one tiny example, one of the leading GOP candidates (Perry) has recently stated that if the Republican Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke manages to improve economic conditions through monetary stimulus, which would betrayal (apparently the logic is that if the economy improves, the chances of Obama's election would improve, so that patriotism requires sabotage and neglect of the economy). Well, I want to monetary stimulus and fiscal stimulus as well, I guess that makes me a double traitor in the book of Rick Perry.I'm not going to be interested in participating in this cascade of transparency and political discord.
