Suffield Players Present Play reading
A reading of David Mamet's play Boston Marriage is presented Sept. 15 by players from Suffield. The script has two female characters in a relationship that may involve the physical and emotional intimacy.

Folk Friday at Cheney Hall
Lovers of folk music, folk Cheney Hall on Friday invited the artists and listeners to an open mic event on September 9th. Musicians sign up for a slot at 18:30 of 10 minutes. Music starts at 7:00 p.m.

Renowned Jazz Sextet Windsor Art Center
Pedro Giraudo and sextext played the Blue Note in New York and Boston Ryles. On September 15, they play the Arts Centre of Windsor in Windsor, giving local audiences a rare treat. The Giraudo was born in Argentina has been hailed as one of the most creative composer / band leaders of the jazz scene today.

Who Makes the Best Convection Steamers for Commercial Buyers?
One of the things that makes choosing a steamer for my business difficult is the fact that so many different companies make quality products. This has made me ask, who makes the best ones? In order to find out, I have rated a number of top companies in terms of price, performance, and selection.
Since I could probably come up with half a dozen quality names in commercial steamers, I have started by narrowing it down to by top 4. They include Groen, Vulcan, Cleveland, and Market Forge. Let’s see how they stand up against the criteria I have set for them:
A.
Today, Vulcan and Cleveland have some of the best deals on convection steamers. They offer a whole range of commercial and industrial steaming equipment at a price which averages about 10% below that of the other major brands. Market Forge runs a close second and Groen, who always been known for exceptional quality, comes last in the price race.

Of these four convection steamer makers, Groen is the best performer overall. It is likely the fact that they make so many models which makes them able to do so many different jobs so well. Vulcan is my second favorite as all of their units do the same work which gives an owner confidence in the brand. I have seen some excellent and some not-so-excellent steamers from Cleveland and Market Forge.
If I had to choose a biggest loser in this category, it would have to be Cleveland. Though it has never happened to me, I have heard some stories about Cleveland models which haven’t seemed to work right out of the box.
C.
Since Market Forge has created a small line of convection steamers to go along with their extensive list of industrial ones, I would have to give them this category as well. Groen is a close second in selection, but doesn’t have as large a range of industrial steaming equipment. Both Vulcan and Cleveland make a variety of 3 main models which limits their selection severely, compared to the other two companies.
