Survivors include her parents, Alan B. and Jennifer L. English; siblings, Lee, Halley, and Alan R.; grandparents, Ron Lukshaw and Jacy Petty, Patricia English, Michael and Laurel English, and John and Lynn Steadman, Jr.; great-grandparents, Meralou Petty, Patricia and Richard Pierce, Evelyn English, and John Steadman, Sr. Also surviving is her extended loving family, Jessica and Adam Lawson, John and Nicole Avena, Nick and Lindsey English, Hanna and Eric Hughes, Jordan and Nathan Steadman, and many numerous cousins. Her greatest passion in life was being involved with her grandchildren and attending all the events they participated in. A former member of Riverside Yacht Club, she and her husband, Bob, were active boaters and motorcycle riders. A member of the Elks Association, she loved to play cards in one of Ashtabula's longest running card games, every Friday night at the Ashtabula Elks Lodge for over 20 years. JoAnn loved to visit the casinos and play the slots. She also raised horses and attended her daughter's horse shows in her younger years. Her survivors include her husband of nearly 48 years, Robert DiDonato, whom she married May 9, 1959; three children, Ronald (Kathy) DiDonato of North Kingsville, Stephanie (Randy) Jones of Ashtabula, and Laura (Brian) Scott of Summerville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Ronald, Jr., Vincent, and Anthony DiDonato, RaeAnn and Steven Jones, and Devin Scott; one great-grandchild, Logan Jones McCracken; and one brother, David Jeffers of Gastonia, N.C. She was born October 5, 1916 in Burton, Ohio to Worthy and Mary (Pfenniger) Goff. She lived in the Burton - Middlefield area for over 65 years. She also lived in Ft. Myers, Fla. for 22 years coming back to Middlefield in 2003. Mrs. Russell was married on September 16, 1939 in Burton to Charles S. Russell who preceded her in death in 1982. She graduated from Burton High School in 1934, a graduate of Cleveland Mortuary School, and a graduate of Spencerian Business College in Cleveland, Ohio.
