A 21-year-old male remained in jail Thursday evening on charges of sexual assault of a child.
Michael Findley was arrested by the Brazos County Sheriff's Department after admitting to having sexual intercourse multiple times between April 2011 and August 2011 with a girl who was younger than 17. The admission came during a phone conversation recorded by authorities, according to the report outlining the probable cause for Findley's arrest.
The girl told her mother, who contacted the police.
This offense is a second degree felony, punishable by two to 20 years in prison. Bail was set at $100,000.
